REPAIR & Restoration of Concrete
Rusty Spurr Coatings provides comprehensive concrete repair and restoration to ensure every surface is smooth, durable and ready for coating. Proper preparation is essential, as even small defects can impact the final result.
Hairline cracks, for example, may seem minor but should always be repaired. If left untreated, they can affect the application of the polyaspartic topcoat, leading to uneven coverage or visible imperfections.
Concrete that appears sound often reveals additional flaws after grinding and cleaning. Fortunately, most issues are straightforward to fix and can be addressed before coating begins.
The result is a clean, even surface that looks better and performs reliably over time.
As long as the concrete slab is structurally sound, most damage can be effectively repaired. Cracks that run through the slab are common and can be addressed by opening them with a crack-chasing blade, then filling them with a high-strength silica epoxy mortar or fast-curing polyurea. In cases where moisture may be present, a specialized epoxy is used to ensure proper bonding without expansion.

Surface damage such as nail holes from removed walls or deeper voids can also be restored. These areas are carefully prepared by cutting clean edges and using a shot blaster to remove contaminants that could affect adhesion. The repair is then filled with an epoxy or polyurea mortar mix and ground smooth once cured, resulting in a patch that is often stronger than the original concrete.

To complete the process, a resin coating or polish will leave a leaving a seamless, durable finish with no visible signs of previous damage.

Whether your project involves minor repairs or more extensive restoration, our team is equipped to deliver reliable, long-lasting results.
